About the Firm

The “law firm on the corner” was founded on February 14, 1977 by Robert W. Gluck, Esq. (deceased, 2013) and Thomas F. Kelso, Esq.

From its founding, “Gluck & Kelso” was known as a full-service law firm, representing local individual and corporate clients in all areas of law.

In 1990, Gluck and Kelso became “Gluck, Kelso & Kaplan” when the firm’s Associate Attorney, Bruce J. Kaplan, Esq. became a partner.

Gluck left the firm in 1992 when he was appointed the Middlesex County Prosecutor and the firm became “Kelso & Kaplan” for the next decade. In 1996, Kaplan was appointed as the Middlesex County Counsel.

In 2002, Kaplan was appointed the Middlesex County Prosecutor and thereafter was appointed as a Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court in January 2014. The Hon. Bruce J. Kaplan is currently a sitting Superior Court Judge in the Middlesex County Vicinage.

Also in 2002, the firm became “Kelso & Bradshaw” when the firm’s Associate Attorney, Patrick J. Bradshaw, Esq. became a partner. Additionally in 2002, Kelso was appointed as the Middlesex County Counsel.

In 2004, the firm welcomed Jennifer A. Burgess, a former Deputy County Counsel in Middlesex County, as its new Associate Attorney.

In January 2018, Bradshaw was appointed to the Superior Court of New Jersey and the firm became “Kelso & Burgess”.  The Hon. Patrick J. Bradshaw is currently a sitting Superior Court Judge in the Middlesex County Vicinage.

Also in January 2018, Kurt J. Trinter, Esq. was welcomed as the firm’s new Associate Attorney.

Just as he did with all predecessor firms, Kelso continues to serve as its Managing Partner ensuring that all clients, both long-standing and new, are provided the best legal services to serve their needs. This tradition of helping both individual and business clients will proudly continue into the firm’s fifth decade.
